Major ventilation systems for day to day and emergency needs for the stations and tunnels in the Montreal subway. Groupe SCV had a mandate for the design, manufacturing and installation of the ventilation systems and silencers. Separate tenders for the supply and installation.
The project was for the extension of the subway to Laval (5 ventilation systems) but the STM plans to replace its other systems on the network. Supply (17 M$) and installation (12 M$).
Main challenges
Performance specifications with very restrictive space contraints and level of permissible noise.
